Nigerian Afropop powerhouse Yemi Alade joins forces with celebrated music executive and artiste Don Jazzy on her vibrant new single, “Ala Bekee,” a feel-good record that blends romance, culture and the excitement surrounding love and marriage.
Released on August 21, 2026, the 3-minute, 9-second track sees Yemi Alade delivering her signature energetic vocals while Don Jazzy brings his unmistakable personality and playful musical presence to the collaboration. The record is officially released under Effyzzie Music.
At its heart, “Ala Bekee” is a celebration of love and commitment. Yemi Alade sings from the perspective of someone completely sold on her partner, embracing the promise of forever while dreaming about the honeymoon, marriage and the beautiful possibilities that come with building a life together. The song’s title draws from an Igbo expression associated with foreign land or life abroad, adding a distinctly Nigerian cultural touch to its romantic theme.
Don Jazzy takes the record a step further with a lively contribution centred around prayers for prosperity, protection and a prosperous future. His appearance gives the song an extra layer of personality, while the chemistry between both artistes helps transform “Ala Bekee” into a joyful celebration rather than just another love song.
